The Midlands is a region of diverse and abundant folk activity. All the traditional performance arts - song, music, dance and storytelling - take place here in many settings, from the major festivals to music sessions in the local pub. The Traditional Arts Team is building networks with venues around the Midlands for the production and presentation of these artforms including collaborations across the sector. We have a regular and expanding training programme, and provide platforms for local, national and international performers. We also publish a monthly magazine of folk and related activities, bringing together folk and roots promoters, artists and audiences. |
